Venerable Gyalten Samten Weekend Retreat: The Four Thoughts That Turn The Mind To Dharma – May 5-6, 2018

Venerable Samten with Jetsuma Tenzin Palmo

Join us for this precious opportunity to receive teachings from Venerable Gyalten Samten, program director of the Tushita Center in New Delhi, and gain insight into the Four Thoughts that establish a solid foundation to engage fully in the path of liberation. To make real progress in eliminating our suffering and the suffering of others, it is important to have a clear realization of our current situation and the actual causes of our suffering.

We all know how difficult it can be to establish and maintain healthy habits that we know are beneficial, let alone a Dharma practice that leads to liberation from suffering. Practicing the Four Thoughts brings a deep realization that inspires an appropriate state of mind to be on the path very firmly, motivated to make the best use of the rare and precious human rebirth you have right now.

The Four Thoughts are: 1) Precious Human Rebirth, 2) Impermanence and Death, 3) Karma, Cause and Result, and 4) Faults of Samsara

*Venerable Samten will also be teaching in person at our center on Wednesday evenings May 2nd, 9th, 23rd, and 30th. She will also offer another weekend retreat on June 2nd and 3rd, details to be announced.
