90 Minute Presentation

9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. Central European Time (CET)
John Bruna will return to the Center for Contemplative Research to offer a thought-provoking and heartfelt exploration of the transformative power of metta—the Buddhist practice of loving-kindness—and will present metta as a way of life rather than as a momentary feeling. He will also share reflections on the radical yet deeply human idea that complete devotion to the well-being of others is not self-neglect, but a path to personal fulfillment and care.
Blending ancient wisdom with modern practicality, John will offer real-world methods for cultivating this expansive form of loving-kindness in everyday life. Whether you’re new to meditation or deepening your spiritual path, this talk invites you to engage with loving-kindness not as a lofty ideal, but as a realistic and rewarding way to live.
Join us for a rich discussion of insight, inspiration, and practical tools to help bring more compassion, connection, and authenticity into your life and the world around you.
