“True compassion brings with it the dispelling of internal tensions, a state of calmness and serenity.” – 14th Dalai Lama

Join us for day of meditation and Dharma practice focused on cultivating compassion for ourselves and others. Bodhicitta (Great Compassion) is foundational to Mahayana Buddhist teachings. Though these teachings are Buddhist, they contain universal truths and effective methods for people of all faiths and spiritual beliefs to deal with everyday mental and emotional sufferings and cultivate inner peace, well-being and resiliency.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama describes Bodhicitta as “kindness combined with the highest intelligence.” Once we are able to generate this state of mind, our lives are completely transformed. Obstacles and difficulties become opportunities to fully develop ourselves and be able to engage in lives more skillfully.

The retreat will be facilitated by our spiritual director,  John Bruna.
